COUNSELLING SERVICEFrom time to time, most people will experience difficulties and painful events in their lives, at home and at work. You may be dealing with a particular crisis or life transition, struggling to cope with relationship difficulties, or experiencing a particularly stressful working environment. Within the context of a supportive relationship, problems are explored, thoughts and feelings expressed and possibilities for the future considered.
Counselling doesn’t provide a simple or magical answer to problems. The process isn’t always easy, but many people find that their experience of working with a counsellor enables them to develop greater understanding of troubling feelings and unhelpful patterns of behaviour and to consider possibilities for moving forward. It's a safe, confidential place to offload.
Central to providing space and support is building a trusting relationship between counsellor and client. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and many years experience as a counsellor, working with adults and young people in GP's surgeries, schools, and private practice. I help clients to engage with the present, reflect on the past and consider possibilities for the future. Counselling is for anyone and everyone, for a few sessions or over a longer period of time.
People come to talk about a wide variety of things, including:
- Work Related Issues
- Relationship Issues
- Anxiety & Depression
- Low Self-Esteem
- Loss & Bereavement
- Life Transitions
